THE FACT THAT A PERSON HAS BEEN ARRESTED AND CHARGED DOES NOT IMPLY THAT HE OR SHE IS GUILTY. ALL PERSONS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.

On Wednesday September 9, 2020 at approximately 3:15 pm Sgt. Robert Landolina investigated an incident where two juveniles purchased a container of vape juice and a vape device from Up in Smoke located on Route 202/31. As a result of his investigation Sgt. Landolina issued a complaint summons to the owner, Karin E. Fialka (Age 47) of Whitehouse Station for Selling Cigarettes to Persons Under 19 Years of Age.

On September 10, 2020 at 10:50 pm Officer Paige Montillo stopped to assist a disabled vehicle on Walter Foran Boulevard. Upon approach the officer detected the smell of marijuana. Officer Ismael Mendez arrived to assist. The driver, La Tarsha McClennion (Age 42) identified her passenger as being her son, "Deshawn Dewitt". The passenger was later identified as Tashad McCennion (Age 21). Both occupants provided police with a false name for Tashad because they thought he had a warrant for his arrest. They were each charged with Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution. Tashad was also charged with Possession of Less than 50 Grams of Marijuana. Officer Montillo made the arrests.
